Apologies for absence

Minutes of the last meeting.
These were unavailable at the time of this meeting.
Ken observed that the current Appleton Tower work was taking up a disproportionate amount of the user support unit's time with an inevitable impact on other areas of activity.
Reports from units.
George pointed out that the redevelopment of the AT basement would mean that servers intended to move to AT from other sites as part of the move to the Forum would now have to go elsewhere until the work was completed. The Forum server room seems the most likely temporary location should the VAT issue prove surmountable.
George suggested that unit managers should check whether the kit they were responsible for in the AT basement were attached to UPSs and if not make appropriate arrangements.
George was unsure whether there would be a power glitch when the normal supply was restored.
Chris queried who would be responsible for any damage caused as a result of the test.
In actual fact, Chris is away next Tuesday as well.
All Forum rooms have now been entered in to the Inventory database so kit moved to the Forum can have its correct location recorded. IF is the key for the Forum.
