Some manufacturers supply laptops with 32-bit versions of Windows by default though 64-bit versions are usually a no-cost option. All School equipment should be specified with 64-bit Windows.
We will do small amounts of work on sites.

It was agreed that Alastair would pursue better control over when the building UPSes were turned off.
It was pointed out that the default settings for podium machines would need to differ from the default. This led to speculation as to whether the settings for lab and office machines should differ.
HP's view of what is provided by our support contract doesn't agree with our own. Investigate.
We need to clarify what action we should take when machines stop backing up in the middle of an exam.
Group 1: Craig, Ian, Iain, Jennifer, Richard has worked one day so far.
Group 2: Neil, Alastair, Toby, Ross has finished.
Group 3: Roger, Chris, George, Graham, Lindsey has finished.
Group 4: Gordon, Stephen, Tim, Alison, Carol has worked one day so far.
It was agreed that the first free Wednesday in April (the 17th) would be used for groups to give their final reports.
