  3. Report from Computing Executive Group

CSG have asked for more visibility on project activity. So, please use blog to advertise progress. This doesn't just apply to projects that have been requested by end-users.

  4. Reports from units

  5. Topics for discussion

    1. Roles without a corresponding rfe role Neil commented that "This seems wrong to me. eg we computing staff have the roles "sysman" and "computing-staff" (as can be seen from the roles command), but as there is no rfe roles/computing-staff file then this ldapsearch -LLL -b ou=Capabilities,dc=inf,dc=ed,dc=ac,dc=uk cn=role/computing-staff returns an empty list. Where as with role/sysman you get a list of us." However, it was generally agreed that this was deliberate but would discuss with Toby.
    2. Potential MLH in mid-March

It is likely that we will borrow access points from IS. The event runs over a weekend and they are looking for support throughout. Volunteers please contact George.

    3. Perf

It was agreed that this should be included in the RAT package list rather than being installed everywhere.

  6. Items for the Computing Systems blog
  7. AOCB

  8. Next meeting
