There was a mail blockage on the morning of Tuesday 12th, which seemed to
have been triggered by some
The symptoms were that mail being forwarded via
internalmailrelay.ed was being blocked. Roger reported it
by phone. There are two addresses corresponding to that name. The
first was affected by a bad filter rule, while the machine behind the
second had some other issue.

Generally the outcome had not been as bad as expected!
Services Unit have a potential issue whereby they could have lost some RO volumes. If another AFS server were to fail there's the potential for both the RW and RO copies of some volumes to be lost.
There are some "homeless" machines which don't obviously belong to any Unit. It would be useful to have these reported to make them easier to identify and fix.

We have had the go-ahead to investigating upgrading our AT space, but not the go-ahead to do any upgrade identified.
