Neil noted that he had had problems with AFS 1.8 on the servers, which was delaying progress there. He would prefer to get 1.8.2 running to sticking with 1.6.x.
The meeting agreed with Chris's suggestion that we should now extend this to cover pages from March 2017 or earlier.
The documentation apparently doesn't explain how to avoid destroying the host system. Iain to take another look at it.

Could we put a banner on the servers? Would it be useful? Chris will see what's possible. In the medium term, beefier servers are probably the only answer.
The mirrors are still working, but writing to tape isn't keeping up, so some tape dumps have to be skipped. Perhaps a larger cache would help, though what we have should be enough.
Once upon a time the additional address forms used to come from theon. It would be nice if they could once more.
Neil didn't get any response to his mailing-list query, other than someone who said their problem had gone away. He's hoping (rather than expecting) that 1.8.2 on the servers might make a difference. Meanwhile, rebooting the affected clients seems to be the only fix.
