Neil asked if, in light of recent discoveries, it might be possible for services and their DR replacements to share the same certificate. Though on first sight not keen, Toby agreed to consider this.
Alastair asked whether there had been any feelers about the cluster machines seconded to the RDP service being restored to their original purpose. Iain said that he hadn't heard anything. Stephen pointed out that it would be fairly simple to re-instate at least some of the machines. There was general agreement that nothing should be done until at least the end of semester.
Stephen pointed out that the release of OpenAFS 1.9 was imminent and that it was important that we test this as soon as possible. Services and MPU will liaise on setting up a test cell.
Neil expressed concern that the burden of producing the minutes of this meeting every week might prove unduly onerous and wondered if there might be some way of automating the process. The current author stated that he considered himself up to the challenge at the present time, though he could not of course speak for his colleagues who share this Sisyphean task.
